L&L Products North America has achieved platinum level certification as part of General Motors’ Certificate of Excellence program for 2020. The program recognizes suppliers who demonstrate on-time shipping to General Motors customers and aftersales. Certification levels include Silver, Gold and Platinum, reflected in order of expectations. Platinum level is awarded to suppliers that consistently exceed expectations with on-time delivery and quality of service over the last 12 months.
This is the first time L&L Products has received the certification from General Motors. In 2016, L&L Products set a performance goal to make the L&L supply chain a competitive advantage. This goal, which still holds true today, has allowed L&L Products to operate at a level that is being recognized by our customers.
Some of the key aspects of the goal include:
- Alignment with the L&L Products Founders’ vision: “To be a good place for all who touch it”
- Exceed customer expectations
- Strategic focus on planning, managing risk and protecting the customer
- Collaboration with other departments, suppliers, and customers
- Encourage area experts to seek tools, processes and strategies that are needed to be successful
- Spend decisions made using real-time cost and market intelligence
“At L&L Products, we have a one-team approach. It takes everyone in operations and the entire company to get results like this,” said John Babi, Operations Director of L&L Products North America. “R&D gave us a more robust formula. Machine Repair keeps us running. Product Development has a laser focus for design and manufacturing. In reality, it takes a village.”
